Re-employment and Outplacement Services

Re-employment services apply to persons who have been out of the job maket
for a significant period of time, regardless of the reason. Significant period of
time is varies for different occupations. 18 months is a significant period of
time for some computer-related occupations, while four years does not
constitute
a significant barrier in terms of returning to teaching school.

"Not all of us from Nashville can sing, at least not well enough to earn a living."

Some individuals take extended time off for a variety of reasons, not the least
of which, is medical care, physical or mental/emotional in-nature. Other
reasons a person might be displaced from the job market include, relocation of
spouse, divorce, to home school a child, to provide care-giver services to a
family member such as an elder parent, or sick child, or just to be a stay-home
parent. Other scenarios involve persons returning to direct employment versus
a former self-employment setting.

Regardless of the reason, any person having been absent from the labor market
for a significant period of time, will VERY likely benefit -- if not require --
vocational counseling relative to skill-set maintenance and development. All
vocational counseling recommendations will be made in accordance with the
Occupational Information Network - O*NET as identified by the United
States, Department of Labor as the national standard of practice for any given
occupational group or individual activity.
